Biomolecular sensors

Ultrasensitive biomarker detection is crucial to improve disease diagnosis and in vivo monitoring but requires innovative methods and tools to achieve the required sensitivity and specificity. We are currently developing bio-analytical methods that combine the programmability of functional nucleic acids with emerging synthetic biology tools like CRISPR technology to achieve direct, single step detection of clinically relevant antibodies, proteins and DNA repair enzymes.
